Annick Chalier
About
An abundance of energy has resulted in a long history of athletic endeavors for Annick. She was a high school swimmer and competitive snowboarder in the 90s, which she transitioned to bike commuter and casual runner once arriving in Portland in 1997. Then starting a little over ten years ago she reset by sobering up and discovering olympic distance triathlon, cyclocross racing, and road racing, working with Campfire head coach Chris Bagg for the last 9 years! Annick has focused her more recent life on working with others to help them uncover skills they didn't realize they possessed by instructing snowboarding at Mount Hood Meadows (something she also did in the 90s in NJ) and coaching mountain biking skills. She has also expanded her horizons by road racing in Colombia, learning to Nordic ski (skate and classic), and bikepacking. Annick is excited to take on gravel racing this year and broaden her coaching to include endurance sport! Outside of athletics, her work has been focused on program and project management at a large federal energy marketer, and most recently consulting in the energy industry. 2023 will mark some pretty big life changes, however, as she will be sunsetting her 20+ year career in the energy field to focus entirely on coaching. It brings Annick immense joy to help others get after their personal goals!
